This in-house training course provides advice and guidance for legal services firms on their duties and responsibilities to good equality and diversity practice.
It is aimed at solicitors, barristers and other legal service companies that deal with the public and who are bound by the SRA (Solicitors Regulation Authority) Code of Conduct 2011.
The SRA Code of Conduct sets out ten mandatory principles of conduct. Chapter 2 of the first section covers the Equality and Diversity duties for legal firms.
As a matter of general law, legal firms must comply with requirements set out in legislation - including the Equality Act 2010 - as well as the conduct duties contained in this chapter.
