Young ethnically diverse pupils also need the opportunity to
understand their rights, be proud of their identity and learn
how to deal with racism, inappropriate behaviours, and
inequalities.
In producing this Pocketbook on how to be antiracist in
teaching and learning will support staff at all levels to be
aware of the issues that affect ethnically diverse
parents/carers and pupils and equip you to understand the
lived experiences of ethnically diverse people and the
discrimination, harassment, victimisation and bullying they
go through daily in their lives.
We hope that this resource helps to support learning and
raises awareness of the needs, rights, and lives of ethnically
diverse parents/carers within your school/academy.
