Stop vitriolic social media posts
In shadows where trust is meant to grow,
Lurks a darkness some dare not show.
Voices that should uplift, protect,
Instead sow seeds of harsh neglect.
On platforms where words fly free,
They craft their venom for all to see.
Forgetting their oath, their sacred vow,
To serve with fairness, here and now.
Public servants, in name alone,
Disgrace the badge they've always known.
Racism, in subtle guise,
Erodes the hope in countless eyes.
Yet, we are not mere silent ghosts,
We stand to challenge, to oppose,
The hate that stains our shared domain,
That mocks the laws and brings deep pain.
If you see a post that spreads this blight,
Do not turn away from the fight.
Report the wrong, uphold the right,
Let justice shine, let truth ignite.
For in our hands, the power resides,
To stop the hate, to turn the tides.
Together, we protect the core,
Of what our public services stand for.
A call to action, clear and strong,
To end this vile and toxic wrong.
For only then can trust be pure,
And our diverse communities endure.
