Race Equality in the Veterinary Sector
Within the UK, it is widely accepted that race equality is a key societal/employment issue. Employers have a crucial role to play in helping to create working conditions that are fair to all employees and service users, including ethnically diverse workers/service users.
The Equality Act 2010 provides protection for ethnically diverse people from racial discrimination and harassment and the opportunity to promote race equality.
This Veterinary employers/employee guide aims to build on good practice and assist in developing policies, processes, procedures, and practice as part of our commitment to promote equality, tackle discrimination and foster positive relationships between diverse groups of people. .
