A children’s view of the Lockdown
Chesham Primary is vibrant. Chesham Primary is cool.
The past few weeks it’s been weird to have so few kids in school.
There is a lot to be said about mixing with others.
Although mostly, for me, it’s just my sisters and brothers.
Never thought you’d hear me say that!
Nevertheless, it is a fact.
Staying home in isolaon is monotonous and boring.
It makes me red and causes snoring!
All day long, we have nothing to do.
Just sing around and admiring the view.
I missed my birthday party - no music or dance.
When this is over, I’m going to party at the first chance.
I feel sad because it's so boring too.
I think we all need to get together and have a big ‘do’.
A party to celebrate when it’s finished and gone.
Invites will go out to each and everyone.
It’s been boring, I've watched Frozen over and over again.
My life aer lockdown will never be the same.
I don't like it; you're not allowed to play out with your friends.
I cannot wait for this lockdown to come to an end.
This poem has been inspired by children from Chesham school.
It is an ode to our teachers and support staff because they’re so cool.
Thank you all for keeping Chesham’s doors open.
Thank you all for making it happen.
