P. 46
I lived my life in the fast lane.
Working relessly to meet deadlines but not for fame.
My work changes behaviour and shines a light.
It is difficult, challenging but worth the fight.
As I lay here locked in my home
I find the me to talk to others using my phone.
Time to think, me to be just me.
Time to draw, to cook and me to be free.
To view the world with different eyes
Time to share with others and me to rise.
Rising to the challenge of being locked in
Rising to the challenge of there just being me and him
Talking to each other and rekindling our love
We can all do it when push comes to shove.
Aer this fight there will be no more running about
No more quick conversaons and less going out.
We will make me for each other we will take me to care.
We will always say ‘I love you’ as we will not always be there.
This virus is breaking up partnerships, it’s tearing families apart.
Take me to talk, to care, to share before it gets dark.
When the darkness descends when we are alone
Unable to say a proper goodbye because we can’t leave our home.
Reach out now to your partner, family, and friends.
Stop waing around and expecng the end.
