Many individuals tend to solely associate racism with blatant
racism and harassment. However, racism is more than that. Not

all racism is overt, but more subtle that can be hard to define.

Racism includes unconscious bias, Subtle Acts of Exclusion, and
            microaggressions.

Being treated for differently due to race or ethnic background has

a detrimental effect on the physical and mental health of all

ethnically diverse individuals. If racism is more subtle and a
person calls out this behaviour, it can be easy for perpetrators to

gaslight victims into believing that their experiences are not

            serious.
