Going beyond what the law says

• It is important to remember that discriminatory and

non-inclusive language and behaviour isn't just

confined to the protected characteristics under the

Equality Act.

• It can result from negative attitudes around other

things, such as a person's weight, their socio-economic

background, or certain lifestyle choices (e.g.,

veganism).
