Taking a Stand

"What we can do is make sure we take action ourselves

by understanding what racism is and opposing it

wherever we see it, no matter who we are."

As you go about your everyday business, you may see

racism, you may have racist things happen to you or to

people you care about. It is important to know what

racism is and what to do about it; no one should be

treated badly because of how they look, the language

they speak or where their family is from

We need to make sure that children and adults

understand what discrimination is and learn what it is

to treat everybody fairly and equally.

History has shown that changing the law isn't enough

               to change attitudes completely.

We should all learn to live together in harmony and

celebrate our differences. Everybody deserves a

chance to live a racism-free life.
