This resource provides the user with practical and sensible approaches to applying equality law and inclusive practice in everyday workplace and learning environments in the workplace.
The resource deals with issues of discrimination, harassment and bullying. It considers the protections in the Equality Act 2010 across the nine protected characteristics and provides guidance for recording and reporting bullying in the working and learning environment.
This resource has been tried and tested with practitioners and they have commented that it has helped them to think more creatively about the issues of managing bullying and conflict in the learning environment.
It looks at how harassment, bullying and the use of discriminatory language work against each of the nine equality characteristics and offers strategies that can be used to help modify behaviour and successfully embed equality and diversity into the workplace.
