From short-term tactical help to more strategic assistance, we work with your organisation to implement good equality and diversity practice. Our services include coaching, mentoring, training, consultancy, facilitation and assessment. These are often delivered in combination and are always tailored to your organisation’s specific needs.
We produce resources and publications covering all issues relating to equality and diversity and we run the Equality Network, a National Network committed to equality, diversity and social inclusion, supporting organisations and practitioners to develop awareness, understanding and skills to promote equality and tackle discrimination.
Have you experienced racism, prejudice, unconscious bias or microaggressions as a child or as an adult in NHS, Criminal justice system, education or as a working adult?
We are launching our lived experiences of racism poetry/story competition, and are calling on you to write about experiences of racism – either yours or someone else’s - in the NHS, Probation service, criminal justice system, education or the workplace – and to share the impact these experiences have had on your lived experiences .
Why should I write a poem/tell my story for the competition?
We need to continue to bring insight and illumination to the race-related issues that many ethnically diverse people experience. A poem/story will help to share your lived experiences and open the blinds to those who do not know what modern/old fashioned racism looks/feels like.
By entering the competition, you could win one of our top cash prizes
1st prize £500 - 2nd prize £250 - 3rd prize £125
All of the prize-winning poems or stories and up 40 selected entries will be featured in The Human Library Pocket Book that will be launched in October, during Black History Month. All entrants will receive a free E-copy.
Email your entry to email@example.com by the 5th August
The goal of the book club is to have meaningful discussions about race, racism, anti-racism and marginalised identity. We aim to get diverse individuals to connect, learn from and listen to each other to explore issues of racism in a safe space. Next meeting: 22nd September

Our training programmes have been developed and refined since 1997. We believe our training is effective because it is
We will discuss and agree the precise content of the training programme (we offer pre-training questionnaires to all staff to help this process). All training is then genuinely tailored to your needs and circumstances, whether you want a single workshop or a full in-house programme. All our training is supported by high quality hand books. Pre-course activities are used to encourage delegates to consider the issues before the training and to ensure that the programme is tailored to specific needs.
All programmes have a set day/half day rate. If an organisation requires several days' training we will negotiate the cost of training. All our work is evaluated and changes made where necessary to ensure quality and relevance.
