RIEP George
Today we gather, two years have passed,
To honour George Floyd, his shadow cast.
"I can't breathe," his haunting plea,
Echoes through time, demanding to see.
A spark was lit by his final breath,
A call to justice, a cry from death.
At EDUK we celebrate his life, with hearts aligned,
To fight for equality, for all humankind.
In remembrance, we stand as one,
Reflecting on battles fought and won.
Against the tide of systemic hate,
For Black lives, we advocate.
Join us now, in silence and thought,
For George Floyd, whose life was caught,
In a cruel system, but sparked a flame,
A movement born in his name.
Your presence here, your voice, your fight,
Helps turn the darkness into light.
Through EDUK, we strive and learn,
For race equality, our passion burns.
Thank you for walking this path with us,
Together, in unity, in hope, in trust.
Let's keep moving, let's stay strong,
For George Floyd, and those who've longed.
