I was stressed- but they did me proud. They did not win but achieved
my praise. My poem to the manager and team.
Reflection after the game
Against the odds, the team arose,
Through trials tough, they boldly chose,
To fight with heart, to play with grace,
And take their rightful, earned place.
In every match, they showed their might,
Each pass and goal, a fierce delight,
They battled on through sweat and pain,
Their dedication, clear and plain.
Last night, they faced a daunting foe,
A Spanish side with skill to show,
Yet England's pride did not diminish,
For they fought on, they did not finish.
In the final, hearts did soar,
Though victory slipped past the door,
Their effort grand, their spirit high,
In every play, they reached the sky.
We praise their strength, their team, their drive,
For in our hearts, they kept alive,
The dream of glory, bright and clear,
Well done to them, we hold them dear.
So let us cheer, not scorn defeat,
For every player was a feat,
In unity, they stood so tall,
A testament to give our all.
