Hold My Hand
I feel scared and worried about health and well-being.
I feel tense, anxious, and thinking about fleeing.
Hold my hand and do not let go.
Hold my hand and help me to reach tomorrow.
I watch the TV and learn about the death toll.
I worry that we will not ever again be whole.
Hold my hand and do not let go.
Hold my hand and help me to reach tomorrow.
I miss my family, especially the boys.
I miss their smiles, their cheek, their noise.
Hold my hand and do not let go.
Hold my hand and help me reach tomorrow.
I want to see all my grandchildren grow into adults and teens.
I want to hold their hands and make real their dreams.
Hold my hand and do not let go.
Hold my hand and help me reach tomorrow.
I listen to the news and the doom and gloom.
I watch it all locked up in my room.
Hold my hand and do not let go.
Hold my hand and help me reach tomorrow.
