This impacted the racial stereotypes we see
today, where Ethnically diverse people and

communities are often treated as though they

are 'different' in comparison to the 'normal’
                                                              White community.

WHAT IS This sense of difference underpins racism.

RACISM? Racial prejudice can be obvious or hidden,

and sometimes the people who hold this

prejudice lack the knowledge they need to
                                                              recognise it in themselves.

However, a first step towards tacking racism
is to recognise our own bias and prejudices,

                                                              however unconscious these may be.
