We hope that teachers understand the

challenges that learners in their schools, as

members of Black, Asian and Minority Ethnic

(Ethnically diverse) communities face and
that at times they don't have the

opportunities others have due to racism,

prejudice and barriers.
INTRODUCTION We know that the road ahead for black and

minority ethnic learners might be difficult

and feel that if teachers could empathise,
tackle racist behaviour, and provide

support and safe spaces for them to grow,

they would have enriched experiences and
better opportunities to be recognised,

valued and included.
