Reflective questioning can be helpful.
Examples of phrases to tackle the use of
racist language include:
➢ Were you aware that what you said
sounded racist, and could hurt someone?
➢ Have you considered that this language is
TACKLING racist?
LANGUAGE ➢ Who has been affected by what
happened?
➢ How have they been affected?
➢ What do you, or they, need to happen
now?
➢ Do you need more information about
racism and how it affects people?
