All teachers need to have the confidence
and support from school leadership to
enable them to tackle these issues when they
arise.
For example, school staff may be wary of
the school's reputation or could mistakenly
TACKLING believe that dealing with a racist incident
INCIDENTS results in labelling the person responsible as
'racist’.
Incidents should be dealt with
proportionately.
However, the need to protect young people
from racism should always be paramount.
