Not all incidents where racism occurs would
be considered bullying.
It is important to maintain a way of
addressing and recording racist incidents
which are not part of prejudice-based
bullying.
RECORDING For example, a teacher might observe a
INCIDENTS young person in class expressing racist
opinions which are not directed at anyone in
particular.
Regardless of whether there are Black,
Asian or minority ethnic young people in the
class, this should still be addressed and
recorded as a racist incident.
