Equality- a journey not a destination

Beneath London's shining sun, a tale unfolds,

Of unity, in stories diverse and bold.

Across the A40, a peaceful drive,

In communities where dreams and hopes to thrive.

From Uxbridge to Acton, through Greenford’s lanes,
A journey past places with no discord, no chains.

In Westfield's embrace, a rainbow stands tall,

Where humanity’s colours blend, captivating all.

No riots, no chaos, just a tranquil scene,
Where people of all lands together convene.

Shop assistants, customers, all races, all creeds,

In harmony, they tend to their everyday needs.

They seek not an empire, but a life intertwined,

Where every voice matters, where hearts are aligned.

Our strength lies in unity, not in walls or disdain,
In the shared joys and struggles, in sunshine and rain.

Remember, the forces that seek to divide,

Are the same ones that profit from mistrust worldwide.

It's not the neighbour, nor the friend we should fear,
But the ones who spread hatred, whose motives are clear.

This land is ours, every soul, every face,

A testament to resilience, to hope, to grace.

Let's cherish this beauty, this peace, this light,

Together, we'll make our tomorrows bright.

In London’s glow, let our hearts be free,
To embrace the truth: we are one diverse family.
