Who am I?
Do you ever look at me and make a judgement about who I am?
Do you ever shout abuse at people like me just because you can?
Do you ever think about how your abuse and taunting makes me feel?
Or am I just another foreigner to you, not worthy of such
consideraon and in your eyes, not even real?
I taught your kids to read and write, I taught them how to get along.
And this is how you repay me? By persecuting me and doing me wrong?
My father, he came here to help rebuild this land.
They wanted his skills, his knowledge, and his ability to understand.
He was a guest, invited by your government staff.
He was not the first and I am sure not the last
Can you not see the good deeds that have been done?
By those invited here to help the country run.
How much do you know about the contributions Black people have made?
To make the UK beter - to help it achieve its export and trade.
Contribuons from Black people have put the country above others.
A plethora of contribuons helped us to behave like blood brothers.
It was the diversity of the UK that helped us to win…
the Olympic games in 2012, based on the colour of our skin.
The Olympics brought a diversity of people - black, red, and brown.
It certainly made a difference to our cies and our towns.
We won the games not just because of our history in sport,
But our ability to cater for the needs of diverse communies -
because of our ability and thought.
