Racism is not trivial Kemi

In shadows deep, where pain resides,

Lies truth obscured by whispered lies.

               Racism's weight, a heavy load,
Leaves scars unseen, but hearts corrode.

Dismissed as trivial, words so cruel,

Echoes of hate, a relentless duel.
Yet in their wake, souls bear the toll,

               Long-term trauma takes its hold.

"We need to stop," they say with ease,
As if it's just a passing breeze.

But wounds run deep, beyond the skin,

Embedded deep, where do we begin?

To educate, to call it out,

               To silence bigotry's hateful shout.

For every word, a lasng sng,
               Injusce thrives on silence's wing.

"It's trivia," they dare to claim,

While vicms suffer, bear the blame.

But in their pain, resilience grows,
               Voices rise, their truth bestows.

               No more chasing shadows, blind,

No more excuses le to find.
Let's face the truth, confront the hate,

And build a world where love’s innate.
