Don’t call Black women angry
In a world where words can sng and hurt,
"Angry Black woman," a label unjustly blurt.
But beneath the surface of this emove word,
Lie concerns and truths that must be heard.
Not anger, but concern fills her heart,
For racism tears families apart.
It hinders careers, it sfles voices,
Yet sll, she stands, she bravely rejoices.
Gaslighng atempts to dim her light,
But she persists, she fights the fight.
For excusatory language is a weapon indeed,
To silence, to oppress, to mislead.
Racism, the silent abuser in plain sight,
Manifests in words, in acons, in slight.
So let us cease and desist without delay,
From using this term, let's find a new way.
On behalf of Black women, a call to desist,
From labelling, from silencing, from this twist.
For they've had enough, they've borne the weight,
Let's work on our behaviours, let's not hesitate.
