Educate yourselves

In lands both near and far, a tale does unfold,
Of empires vast, and stories bold.

A whisper of history, a lesson to heed,

In words of truth, we must take heed.

Kemi Badenoch, with her voice so sure,
Speaks of wealth, but what's the allure?

In a pamphlet old, from days gone by,

Colonies and the War, where truths do lie.

For in those pages, a story is told,
Of riches sought, of fortunes bold.

But Kemi, dear Kemi, she fails to see,

The weight of history, the legacy.

No apportionment, she dares not speak,
For the truth is strong, it's not weak.

The empire's grasp, its mighty hold,

Enriched the land, its tales untold.

Remove the empire, what do we find?
A history altered, a different kind.

For wealth and power, they intertwined,

In the empires humongous, we're confined.

The British Empire, so vast and grand,
               Stretching far, across the land.

From distant shores to the setting sun,

Its legacy echoes, its story spun.
