Page 90 - Poems by Alyson Malach - Childhood to Adulthood
P. 90
This is the Britain where we belong,
A place where the weak are made strong,
Where many outshine the few who despise,
And justice gleams in the countless eyes.
No more pandering to the fears of the small,
For we’ve seen the truth that binds us all.
In every role, from nurse to child,
Lies a power, undenied, undefiled.
So let this week be a testament clear,
That in the face of hate, we do not fear.
We rise, we speak, we hold our ground,
In unity, our strength is found.
The far right may shout, but they will not own,
For the majority stands, united, alone,
With love as our banner, inclusion our creed,
We reject their poison, plant unity’s seed.
Let this be our pledge, our vow,
To stand against division, here and now,
For in this land of many hues,
We all belong, we all have dues.
The future’s ours to shape, to see,
A land where all are truly free.
No more will hate to dictate our fate,
For unity, love, will make us great.
