It is important to ensure that resources used
to teach the curriculum authentically
represent the individuals and communities
they portray without reinforcing stereotypes.
If a resource concentrates overwhelmingly
INCLUSIVE on stereotypical aspects of culture, religion
or national tradition, it may be ineffective.
CURRICULUM In educational environments, there is
evidence to suggest that encouraging
empathy, perspective taking and examples
which actively counter stereotypes are most
effective in challenging stereotypes and
prejudiced attitudes.
