  • What elements of equality and diversity should be included in the tutorial
  • What make a good equality and diversity learning environment
  • Which equality and diversity activities are effectively included in the curriculum
  • What behaviour is expected of learners in order to ensure that no one experiences discrimination, bullying or harassment in the learning environment
  • How to set EDI ground rules set with learners and what difference they make to the individual learning experience
  • How the student handbook communicates about equality and diversity

Who is this Course aimed at?

Leaders, managers, teachers and support staff in Colleges, schools and work-based learning organisations

Course Outline

This course will be suitable for all those organisations subject to OFSTED inspections (Common Inspection Framework) and will be particularly suitable for managers in the learning and skills sector.

Through the use of case studies and good practice exemplars, the course will focus on how to ensure equality of access to services and provision and how to best demonstrate success in this area prior to, and during inspections.

This course will provide lots of practical opportunities to explore with colleagues issues and challenges in relation to ensuring equality of opportunity as well as practical hands on activities aimed at improving practice.
