We understand that in the current environment, time is at a premium. That is why we have introduced a new type of training session - Lunch and Learn

These 60-90 minute sessions are designed to be delivered over a lunchtime period We offer a range of lunch and learn sessions for you to choose from:

Everyday Equality, Diversity and Inclusion

  • Raise awareness of Equality and Diversity
  • Raise awareness of relevant EDI policies
  • Encourage individuals to speak up regarding EDI issues and concerns
  • Demonstrate positive behaviours to colleagues, partners and service users
  • Constructively challenge those who discriminate, harass, speak or behave inappropriately.

Unconscious Bias

  • What unconscious bias is (and what it isn’t)
  • How to create greater awareness of our own natural biases and manage them effectively
  • Understanding how unconscious biases impact your organisation’s performance
  • How to apply unconscious bias awareness to everyday workplace situations
  • Reflecting on how your own biases positively support you but may negatively impact others

Understanding the Equality Act 2010

This session will enable participants to:

  • recognise the key features and context of the Equality Act 2010
  • describe the types of discrimination and various protected characteristics.
  • identify the impact of the Equality Act on colleagues, on your organisation and on working life.
  • create a brief plan to review equality in your workplace which outlines necessary measures for improvement.

The Protected Characteristics

Planned learning outcomes:

  • Know each of the protected characteristics as well as the benefits of an equal and diverse workplace
  • Understand and show your commitment to The Equality Act 2010 protected groups
  • Understand the prohibited behaviour that is unacceptable AND against the law regarding each Protected Characteristic

Embedding Equality, Diversity and Inclusion into Everyday Practice

This session aims to

  • provide help and advice in how to further embed equality and diversity in every aspect of the workplace
  • offer practical tips on embedding equality, diversity and inclusion into policies, processes, procedures and practice
  • identify the kinds of behaviours which we need to challenge in others and strategies for doing this successfully
  • ensure you have the ongoing knowledge and expertise to provide leadership in relation to equality and diversity matters

Cost

In House Rate

60-90 minutes session: £595

This rates is for groups of up to 30 delegates delivered face to face

The maximum number of delegates for a session delivered via Zoom is 15

If you have between 16 and 30 delegates, we can deliver two consecutive Zoom sessions for £595

Courageous Conversations about Race

Knowing what, when and how to challenge can be difficult. Within your role you will, at times, be required to challenge others' behaviour because you think it is potentially discriminatory; there are some attitudes, language and behaviours that are unacceptable: e.g. racist, sexist, homophobic, transphobic, disablist, ageist. This course prepares you to have those courageous conversations.
