Promote racial equality of opportunity

 Find out the needs of groups and individuals so you can

anticipate and respond to them in culturally sensitive ways.

 Keep information that is disclosed to you by learners and
others secure and confidential in line with your organisation’s

                   GDPR procedures and practices.

 Risk assess what you are going to ask learners or others to do
to ensure that everyone has the resources and support they

need to carry out the task successfully.

 Identify potential barriers to full participation for some people
and work out ways of removing them.

 Take account of factors that may affect performance, such as

fasting or religious festivals, and ensure what you ask of
                   learners and others is manageable.

 Work out ways of engaging with learners and others with

different characteristics and from culturally diverse
                   backgrounds.

 Make sure everyone will be able to follow what you tell them –

produce aids to help individuals if necessary.

 Consider other people’s differing backgrounds, race, cultures,

                   customs and beliefs.

 Understand the effect of cultural differences on verbal and

                   non-verbal communication and respond appropriately.

 Be aware of how your actions, decisions and behaviour affect
individuals and their experience and enjoyment of learning and

                   work.
