Keep information that is disclosed to you by learners and
others secure and confidential in line with your organisation’s
GDPR procedures and practices.
Risk assess what you are going to ask learners or others to do
to ensure that everyone has the resources and support they
need to carry out the task successfully.

and work out ways of removing them.
Take account of factors that may affect performance, such as
fasting or religious festivals, and ensure what you ask of
learners and others is manageable.
Work out ways of engaging with learners and others with
different characteristics and from culturally diverse
backgrounds.
Make sure everyone will be able to follow what you tell them –
produce aids to help individuals if necessary.
Consider other people’s differing backgrounds, race, cultures,
customs and beliefs.
Understand the effect of cultural differences on verbal and
non-verbal communication and respond appropriately.
Be aware of how your actions, decisions and behaviour affect
